On your way to Santiago, during the foot marches, you will find a perfect service:
Luggage transfer: Your luggage (guideline: 1 suitcase/rucksack of max. 20 kg per person) will be transported from hotel to hotel, so you do not have to carry a heavy weight during the Way.
Travel insurance and 24h telephone emergency service, should you have any problem on your trip.
Travel documentation including your pilgrim passport Credencial, on which you can collect the required stamps on your way and then receive in Santiago the Compostela document.
For a supplement you may also add the dinners. The menu usually consists of 2 dishes, bread, wine, water, and dessert. All selected hotels and restaurants offer good regional cooking.
In Santiago de Compostela you will stay in a 3* sup. hotel with central location very close to the cathedral. If you wish, you can of course book additional nights.
From Santiago, you will start your return trip on your own. Or, maybe you wish to make also the last part of the Way of St. James: from Santiago to Fisterra or a Day Trip to Fisterra.

The Way of St. James from Portugal by foot: The last 112 kilometers of the classic "Portuguese route" that goes inland from Tui to Santiago de Compostela. The Camino passes through forests, farmlands and villages, as well as historic towns and cities. In a section you reach the Galician coast and the Rías Baixas, where we recommend to try the famous white wine of the region, the Albariño, and the magnificent seafood.
This route of the "Portuguese Way" fulfill the requirements to receive the Compostela certificate upon your arrival to Santiago.

All hotels are tourist class and are located directly at the Way of St. James or very near to it. Depending on availability you may also be accommodated in good hostals, pensions or charming country houses ("casas rurales") which in quality are at least equal to the corresponding hotel.
