Description
This is the mythical great pilgrimage way (770 km. / 478 mi.) that begins at the Pyrenees and crosses all northern Spain. This "French way" has been used since the Middle Ages by the majority of pilgrims who made their pilgrimage from all over Europe through France to Santiago.
If you have the time and are sufficiently in form, you can make an incredible experience. You pass through most different landscapes (Navarra, La Rioja, Castilla y León, Galicia) and get a comprehensive overview of the great cultural and monumental heritage along the Way of St. James. In the valley of Ponferrada, O Cebreiro welcomes us to the gates of Galicia and leads us to the fabled Santiago de Compostela.

The offer includes 15 nights in hotels, breakfast, luggage transfer, travel documents and travel insurance.
All hotels are tourist class and are located directly at the Way of St. James or very near to. Depending on availability you may also be accommodated in good hostals, pensions or country houses ("casas rurales") which in quality are at least equal to the corresponding hotel. All rooms have private bath/shower and toilet. The price is per person in a double room. For single room supplement see below.
Your luggage (guideline: 1 suitcase/rucksack of max. 20 kg per person) will be transported from hotel to hotel, so you do not have to carry a heavy weight during the Way.
Your travel documents will be awaiting you at your hotel. It includes your "Credencial" (Pilgrim's Passport), your travel insurance and a 24h emergency telephone number.
If you do not bring your own one, you may rent a bicycle (+ info). The bike is delivered to your hotel in Roncesvalles and you will then return it in Santiago.
You may also add dinner in all the hotels where you stay. The menu usually consists of 2 dishes, bread, wine, water, and dessert. All hotels offer good regional cooking. The price for 15 dinners is 350 €.
In Santiago de Compostela you will stay in a 3* hotel with central location very close to the cathedral. If you wish, you can book additional nights at the rate of 55 € (per person in double-room) or 95 € (in single room).
From Santiago, you will start your return trip on your own. Or, maybe you wish to make also the last part of the Way of St. James: from Santiago to Fisterra by foot or by bicycle (in this second case, do not hesitate to ask for quotation). You may also do a Day Trip to Fisterra at the price of 65 €.
