Serranía de Ronda
About Serranía de Ronda, a mountain range that is as bizarre as romantical, more legends are told than about most regions of Spain. Some names, as Puerto de Arrebatacapas, still remain of the times when travelers were robbed by famous bandoleros. Today you can enjoy of this great landscape in a more secure way.
Hoya de Malaga
At the border of Serranía de Ronda is located the so-called Hoya de Malaga, a most beautiful green valley being dominated by the village Casarabonela . The white mountain-peaks of Sierra de Prieta (1.505 m.) and Grajo (1.290 m.) make a unique contrast.
Pizarra
In Pizarra there is the original Hollander Museum, a most interesting collection of Andalusian artisany and rustical furniture in an 18th century country-house. It was founded by an american couple living here since 1963, and you may visit it gratuitly after previous agreement.
More information about the surroundings of Ronda (which belongs to the province of Malaga) you will find at the page Malaga / Excursions.
