Finestrat is a picturesque village that sits on a hill between the 1410 meters high mountain "Puig Campana" and the bay with the same name, Cala Finestrat. It consists of colorful houses and is crossed by narrow winding streets of Moorish origin.The Cala Finestrat offers a beautiful sandy beach, hotels in all price ranges and offers good sports facilities. Although only a few miles from Benidorm, Cala Finestrat is much less crowded and is ideal for a relaxing beach holiday. In the evening you can decide whether you prefer to stay in the fairly quiet Finestrat or to plunge into the nightlife of Benidorm. Cala Finestrat is particularly popular among families with children, both because of the very flat beach which is very safe, and because it is only a few miles from the famous amusement parks in the region: The theme park Terra Mitica deals with the cultures of the ancient world, in the water park Aqualandia you find giant slides and in Mundomar you can marvel at dolphins, penguins and many other exotic animals. Only 3 miles from the bay there is the island "Isla de Benidorm" with its beautiful underwater world, which is an ideal destination for excursions. Especially in the summer Finestrat has a comprehensive offer of cultural and entertainment events, both directly at the beach and in the concert hall Auditorio del Castell. |
